The “Praising God on the Piano” series was written by Sandi Zimmerman Rebert, a graduate of Bob Jones University, pastor's wife, and homeschooling mother of three. (Elizabeth-a senior at Northland Baptist Bible College, Rebekah-a high school senior who is planning to attend Bob Jones University next fall, and Jonathan - age 12, who loves Legos!) Her husband, Brian, is the pastor of the New Hope Baptist Church in Farmington, ME, where they have served for the past twenty-five years.   Sandi teaches private piano, voice, and flute lessons and loves to sing, compose music, write, act, and play various instruments. (She has written numerous plays, cantatas, and musicals which may be purchased from Dramatic Difference Publications.)

“Praising God on the Piano” was originally designed because of the need for an easy to understand Christian curriculum that included God-honoring music.  The Lord has taken the curriculum across the United States and into several foreign countries (India, Africa, the Philippines, and South America where it is currently being translated into Spanish.) The course is planned to continue through Level 4 which would introduce the student to all major and minor keys, as well as prepare them for hymn playing from a hymn book (adding embelishments) and Intermediate Level arrangement books. (Level 3 is currently in the process of being written.)

Sandi has been published, in the past, by Bob Jones University Press (Faith for the Family magazine and a Christian novel, Seventy Times Seven, which may be purchased through Dramatic Difference Publications,) The Joyful Woman Magazine, and The Old Schoolhouse Magazine.
